Personal Trainer in Hollywood – Growing up I had very poor eating habits and quickly found myself weighing 270 pounds at the age of 13. I was starting to show signs of diabetes and knew I had to make changes to my life. I began exercising and fell in love with it. I lost nearly 100 pounds after focusing on proper nutrition and exercise. At the age of 17 I hurt myself at the gym and ended up with 3 herniated disc. Hearing doctors say I’d be lucky to walk again and shouldn’t expected anything more than that, crushed me and left me angry. I couldn’t accept the limitations they put on me. I worked hard to regain my strength and prove them wrong. Since that point fitness has been a part of my life. I went to saint marys college of California on an academic scholarship and earned my bachelors in biochemistry and a minor in psychology. I knew I’d regret it if I just dropped out so I finished and earned my degree and decided to pursue my passion and change my career path towards personal training. I’ve now been a personal trainer for the past 3 years and assisted clients ranging from a 90 year stroke victim who lost function of her left limbs to 14 year children wanting to be better prepared for their sport.
